the wahine mermaid basks on the lava rock on the beach of a secluded cove on the island of Maui and adores the God Kane. Kane (pronounced kah-neh) ~ the God of Life, Creation, son of I'O the infinite source of creation.
"Ua kapu ke ola na Kane" means "Life is sacred to Kane". The waters of Kane bring refreshment and rejuvenation and brings to our lives the dawn of a new day, the light of understanding. "quote from Wellsphere".
Mana is in the domain of the feminine. Man without the Goddess energy is unmotivated. The male energy is the domain of form, the femine of energy. Woman is the creator of life ~ the creator of mana ~ because it is she who creates life, and so brings forth the life force energy--mana. "quote from "The Gods and Goddesses in Ancient Hawaiian Huna".
The mermaid adores Kane, from the life-giving waters she was born, and in the serenity and beauty of this tropical island paradise, she lives freely in the sea only to emerge from the waters on rare occasions embracing the light of the setting sun.

I see you like mermaids too! Thanks for your comment on my painting. This is a very fun painting and I love the imagination used in making a painting like this...after all...mermaids are very elusive and very hard to get to pose for our paintings! Voted!
