Description
two Pale Swallowtail butterflies and a Western Tiger butterfly sipping water and minerals from the nutrient rich soil on the bank of the Clark Fork River near Rocky Point, Montana (close to Paradise, Montana).
Papilio eurymedon, the Pale Swallowtail or Pallid Swallowtail is a relatively common swallowtail butterfly found throughout much of western United States, present from the west coast to western Montana and Wyoming, it is absent from most of Nevada and western Utah.
On this day I saw dozens of them along the bank of the river.
