Painted Turtles basking in the sun on a log in the pond. Photographed at the National Bison Range, Montana. i love the beautiful pond plants which when the turtles rise from the fresh Mission Creek waters which feed this pond decorate the turtles, also providing a wonderful camouflage from aerial predators.
