Description
Tansy is a perennial, herbaceous flowering plant of the aster family.
photographed in Mineral County, Montana at approximately 6,000 ft elevation near Moore Lake, these flowers were growing in abundance in this area. Native to temperate Europe and Asia, the flowers have flat tops and a scent similar to rosemary.
the flower is cultivated and planted in gardens as an organic insecticide for biological pest control due to it's toxins. However, Tansy has a long history of medicinal uses, especially in Greece and Europe.
