Description
I was inside the house when I heard a baby bird crying. I went outside to try to see what was the matter. It took me a while to find the baby, even tho it was crying quite loudly, I had to hone in on the sound to locate it.
...
The precious little baby sparrow was all alone in the tree, there was no nest in sight, and apparently the little baby nestling had left its nest from somewhere else and had somehow made its way to this tree. Nearby are very tall ponderosa pine trees, so I looked everywhere trying to locate the nest but could not.
...
Here is the baby sparrow in the Maple tree next to the house, and the little bird is perched on a branch only about 4 feet from the ground. It could not fly more than a couple feet at a time. Soon it glided down to the ground and hopped around a little bit. I decided to leave the area and hopefully its mother will find it and help it.
...
It was the most wonderful experience to see this tiny baby bird, but at the same time my heart went out for this small and vulnerable baby to be out in the world on its own at such a young age.
