Description
Yellow Ginger (Hedychium flavescens) is a rare cultivar native to the Himalayas and comprises less than 1/10th of a percent of all the ginger sold in the world. I saw these beautiful cream yellow flowers on my drive to Hana, Maui, Hawaii.
Yellow Ginger is known for its superior pungency and sensational flavour. The flowers are delicate and so fragrant.
