Ornate Italianate style entablature and abacus of the historic
United States Post Office
Hellgate Station, Missoula, Montana.

The Federal Building is made up of the original building, built at the northeast corner of West Broadway and Pattee Street between 1911-1913, the east addition built in 1929, and the north addition built in 1937. The building originally housed the U.S. Post Office and the USDA Forest Service Office for Region 1. It also housed the U.S. Federal District Court. This National Register building is designed in the Italianate style and is constructed of Indiana limestone and granite.
